Christians United for Israel will hold its annual north Louisiana Night to Honor Israel in Shreveport, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. The event will be at Gateway Church on Youree Drive, formerly the Broadmoor Assembly of God. Following the event, a reception will be held at Agudath Achim.
David Brog, executive director of CUFI, will be the keynote speaker. Brog practiced corporate law in Tel Aviv and Philadelphia, then worked in Congress for seven years, becoming chief of staff to Sen. Arlen Specter. Curious about Christian Zionism and the motivations of Christian Zionists, he set out to examine what had been foreign to most Jews, and wrote “Standing With Israel” before joining CUFI.
